Result-Driven Training Model at PSKs turning the Dream Project of Captain into Reality!
The concept of Punjab Sewa Kendra was started way back in 2005 by Captain Amarinder Singh, the Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab. Over the years, the project has been shaped into various centers across Punjab. Today, mounting numbers of Sewa Kendras (2,147) across the state is the best quintessence of e-governance success in India; and this consistent recital wouldn’t have been feasible without the government support and help from the Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab. This shows the extent to which, civilians of Punjab trust the state government and its great accountability. Based upon such faith and effort, the concept of delivering cost-effective government services to the citizens of Punjab was rolled out by BLS International Services in August 2016. Accordingly, 2147 of Sewa Kendras were setup across Punjab. Today, these SewaKendras has not only given the citizen-centric service a new dimension, but catered good employment opportunity by employing 5000 youths across the state. Besides, this spectacular initiative also led numbers of underprivileged people of Punjab to uphold their livelihood as about 2% of entire workforce is physically challenged.
The key attributes of these functional Kendras include various government related documentation needs and services like marriage registration, affidavit attestation, bus passes, payment of electricity bill, identity card services and several other services that are stated under the Punjab Right to Services Act, 2011. With diverse range of services and responsibilities, delivering an unrivalled outcome has become an upmost precedence for these Sewa Kendras. Considering the service prerequisite and operational excellence, regular training sessions are also put into practise at these Kendras. The prime intent behind conducting such training sessions is to enrich the proficiency level of all the employees so that a high-end service can be delivered without a hassle.
Be it any business sphere, training plays a pivotal role in delivering an impeccable service. Thus, undergoing such training can help an employee to stay updated with all service related information and pertinent skill set.
