Which nationalities can apply for an E-VOA?
E-VOA is available for 12 nationals

By applying online, you would not need to stand in the long queue at the normal lane at Immigration. You can submit all the required documents and information and pay the visa fees from your home or office. If your E-VOA application is approved, we will forward the pre-approval code copy to your registered email address.
Which airports in Thailand provide E-VOA service?
At present E-VOA is available at 4 airports in Thailand as listed below:
- Suvarnabhumi International Airport
- Don Mueang International Airport
- Chiang Mai International Airport
- Phuket International Airport
What is the difference between the E-VOA and the VOA at the normal lane at the Immigration counter?
- The E-VOA is a processed and granted electronically, while the regular VOA demands you to stand in the normal lane at the immigration counter and provide your information and documents to get your visa stamped on your passport.
- You can apply for the E-VOA from your Desktop, Laptop or Mobile phone
- The E-VOA is valid from the date of entry as listed on the online application
- The E-VOA is only available for Short Stay/Travel visas. For any other purpose of travel, applicant needs to apply for the regular consular Visa which has large number of subcategories that vary according to your purpose of travel
- Your stay in Thailand with E-VOA is limited up to 15 days per trip
- E-VOA is not an emergency visa; for an emergency visa, applicant needs to visit the nearest Embassy of Thailand.
Will I definitely get a visa if I apply online? If I get a visa, am I guaranteed entry in Thailand?
The decision to grant entry visas for Thailand is entirely at the discretion of Thai immigration officer. BLS International cannot guarantee that your E-VOA application will be approved. Pre-approving the visa does not guarantee entry in Thailand; the final decision is made by immigration officers at the point of entry.
Is there a minimum browser requirement?
Yes, the E-VOA can be applied through Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome 72, Firefox 65, and Safari 12.
I made a family E-VOA application. All the E-VOA were pre-approved, except for mine. What should my family do?
Although it is possible to apply as a family, each application is analyzed separately. If your E-VOA was rejected , you can reapply for an E-VOA or apply for the Regular Visa (but the rest of your family can travel with the E-VOA).
If my E-VOA application is rejected, can I apply again?
Yes, you can reapply using the Online service. Please ensure you submit the complete documents for Immigration Bureau.of Thailand
Visa Information
How will I receive my E-VOA?
All E-VOA are sent by email, to the email address informed at the time of registration. The E-VOA will also be available for download in PDF format when you login to the Thailand eVisa website.
My passport is expiring soon, can I still get a visa?
All visitors need to have a passport valid for at least 30 days from the date of arrival. If your passport validity is less than 30 days, you have to renew or apply for a new passport before you can apply for E-VOA. The passport should have at least 1 blank page for stamping by the Thai Immigration Officer.
Can I apply for a Thai E-VOA if my passport has only one name and no surnames or only a surname and no name?
Passports with only one name and no surname or with only a surname and no name should mention the name or surname in both name and surname field. For eg in your passport your name is Mahesh with no surname then the applicant will mention Mahesh in both name and surname field.
My E-VOA was issued with incorrect information. What should I do?
If your E-VOA was issued with incorrect information, contact our staff via email
Will the E-VOA be valid for Multiple Entry or Single Entry?
Usually, an E-VOA is valid for Single Entry only
Do children or infants need a visa?
Yes. All applicants, including children and infants must have a visa to enter Thailand. For any further queries, please contact us
How much time does it take for E-VOA pre-approval?
Provided that all required documents are submitted correctly, pre-approval is normally received between 24 – 72 hours from your application payment, depending on the type of service your choose. If your application exceeded five working days, please contact us
I have dual nationality. How do I proceed?
If you are a Thai citizen, you don't require an E-VOA, no matter what other nationality you have. You must use your Thai passport to enter Thailand.
If you have dual/multiple citizenship and NONE OF THEM IS THAI, you have to choose one of your nationalities and use the corresponding passport to apply. Make sure that the chosen nationality is eligible for E-VOA. Please ensure that while travelling to Thailand you must use the passport used to apply E-VOA
What if I lose my E-VOA?
If you lose your E-VOA, you can reprint it by accessing it from your e-mail.
Why was my visa application rejected?
In the event of a rejected eVOA application, the Immigration Bureau of Thailand authorities reserves the rights not to explain the reasons.
Can I change the airport, after receiving eVOA approval?
Thailand eVOA approval is valid for the airport mentioned on the eVOA approval letter and cannot be availed at any other airport. In case, of change in the airport please apply for fresh eVOA approval.
After eVOA is granted, can I postpone the travel date?
Thailand eVOA is valid for the same arrival date, and airport. In case the flight date is changed or reschedule for another date, please apply for fresh eVOA.
Steps to apply for E-VOA
What is the procedure to apply for a Thai E-VOA?
To apply for a Thai E-VOA, you must have a valid passport from one of the 12 eligible countries
- Please email mandatory documents on thaievoa.inquiry@blsinternational.com
- Cover page of passport and Passport information (bio page) /picture page(s)
- Confirmed hotel booking or invitation letter along with house registration and Thai ID card of Thai nationals or passport copy for Non-Thai nationals, who are inviting the applicant
- Confirmed return flight ticket
- Photograph size 4x6 cm in any light colour background
- Make the payment
After your application is complete, you will receive a mail within 24 – 72 hours with the results of your visa application, depending on the service you choose

Do I have to submit my passport for stamping before I travel?
No. E-VOA will be sent to you by email in a .pdf format. You should keep the copy of your E-VOA for your reference until you travel to Thailand.
I was requested to provide additional documents, will my family application be on pause until I provide the additional documents?
No, only your application will be on pause till additional documents are not received. The family applications will be processed.
I was requested to provide additional documents, but I will not be able to submit my documents with the stipulated time period. What will happen to my application and visa fees?
If you cannot submit the additional documents within the stipulated time period, please inform us via email. Immigration Bureau will then make decision on the documents already submitted.

How much does it cost to apply for an E-VOA?
Regular Visa fee: 2000 THB*
Regular Service fee: 600 THB
Express-Visa Service: You can also apply for an express service, to get your E-VOA decision within 24 hours.

Are the visa fees the same for infant, minor and adult?
Yes, the E-VOA fee is the same for infants, minors or adults.
My E-VOA was rejected. Can I ask for the refund of the fees?
The Visa fees and service fees as levied to the applicants are non-refundable under any circumstances whatsoever.
I did not pay attention and paid the fee twice. Can I ask for a refund?
The Visa fees and Service fees as levied to the applicants are non-refundable under any circumstances whatsoever, including any duplicate applications submitted by the applicant. Except under circumstances wherein we have received duplicate payment for an application towards single transaction.
I have made the payment, but I have not received any confirmation or email from your end? What should I do?
There could be multiple reasons for not receiving a confirmation for the payment.
- The payment was not successful
- The internet connection was lost during the transaction
- Your card is not a 3D secure card
We request you to check your bank statement to confirm that the payment was successful. If the payment was successful you can contact us with a scanned copy of your bank statement. Else you may try making the payment again, using a different browser or using a different card.
