Project visa

• Foreign national coming to India for the execution of project in Power & Steel sector.
• Project visa would be issued on the basis of project/contract assigned to the particular foreign company by the Indian company/organization concerned.
• The employment/working of the foreign national would be restricted to the location of the project.
• Project visa would be issued only for skilled/highly skilled foreign nationals.

Required Documents

• Original passport with minimum 6 months validity and two blank pages.
• Visa application form, should be filled out in English at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa, printed out and signed twice: under the photo and after the declaration.
• One good quality color photograph 3.5cm x 4.5cm.
• Copies of the relevant pages of the Internal Passport (front page, the page where the address is mentioned, the page about previously issued international passports).
• Copy of the photo page of the International Passport.
• If applicant has second valid international Passport he has to provide copy of all pages of Passport with original Passport.
• Education Qualification with translation in English.
• Three additional form for Project visa (Forms should filled out in English, printed out and signed).
• Up and dawn tickets (just a reservation).
• Confirmation of booking (just a reservation).
• A letter of invitation from the concerned company in India with signature and stamp.
• Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation or Registration.
• Original letter of petition from Russian company in English. The letter must be on the letter head of company with original stamp and signature. In the letter of invitation from Indian company and in the letter of petition from the Russian company must be specified: period of visa, number of entries, passport's details of applicant.
• Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation or Registration of the company with English translation (not notary).
• Agreement/Contract between Companies (copy).
• Agreement/Contract between Company and Applicant copy (in the presence of).
• If the applicant has two citizenships he should provide copy of second passport.
• The Embassy of India reserves the right to demand any additional documents .

Citizens of other countries should provide the following additional documents:

• A copy of migration card, a copy of registration certificate / visa, as well as evidence of their work in the territory of the Russian Federation for more than 2 years. If the applicant in the last two years living in Russian Federation , He/She has provide copies of supporting documents (visa / registration, work permit, residence permit, etc.).
• Additional Form for Foreigners.

The deadline for issuance of visas for Russian citizenship is 5 working days and more.
The deadline for issuance of visas for foreigners is up to 10 working days (sometimes it takes more days). Application for submission for visa may be by applicant or through accredited travel Agency or by a Notarized Power of Attorney.

As part of further liberalization, simplification and rationalization of visa regime in India to facilitate greater movement & interaction between the people of the two countries, multiple entry, Tourist and Business visa for a period of 5 years can be granted to the Russian nationals.

The new rates for the Visa Service charge, for all types of visa is as follows with effect from April 01st 2024.
