Medical Visa (Med Visa)

A Medical visa may be applied for by a person travelling to India for specialized medical treatment.

Attendant/family members of the patient may be granted Medical attendant visa which is co-terminus with the Medical visa of the patient.

Documents required:

For Medical Visa applicant needs to have a valid Medical Appointment Letter from a genuine hospital in India. Applicants are advised to get the Medical Invitation Letter from the hospital generated through ‘Medical and Ayush Visa Portal’ by using the URL https://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/medicalvaluetravel which needs to be submitted with the Visa application form. Medical Visa can be issued only after the issuance of pre-validation letter from the portal
Additional form to be filled by the authorities of Indian Hospital with hospital stamp and signature Click here: Medical/ Ayush Visa
Formal appointment letter issued by the hospital.
Proof of financial support for Medical treatment.
Print out of the online application form duly signed.
One latest colour photograph with white background (size 2”x 2”).
Original passport with validity of at least 6 months (Minimum 2 blank pages should be available to stamp the visa).
Photocopy of passport bio-page and IC copy (NRIC, EP, S Pass or WP)
