Police clearance certificate

• This is a document issued by the High Commission of India certifying absence of adverse notice by the Indian police.
• Original Passport to be submitted along with application.
• Copy of Passport and IC is required
• One recent coloured photograph (51*51 mm) in white background.
• Requisition letter from concerned Embassy for migration visa
• For applicants requiring PCC for employment visa, they are required to bring a letter of invitation or appointment letter.
• Processing time - subject to clearance
• Marriage certificate is necessary if applicant is applying for PCC on spouse basis

• In case of any changes in personal particulars in the existing passport (Eg: Marital Status, Permanent address in India) need to produce supporting documents ( Marriage certificate, Aadhar card etc) while he/she submits an application for PCC.
• For PCC and GEP - all applicants must be physically present at the centre during the submission and the original passport needs to be submitted along with the application.

• For applicants who previously held Indian Passports they are required to produce the following documents
• Original cancelled Indian Passport (if any).
• Renunciation of Indian citizenship certificate
• Naturalization certificate and current foreign passport with copies.
• For applicants of non-Indian origin, furnish current and previously held passports bearing the Indian visas/ FRRO exit permit clearly indicating the period of stay in India for which PCC is being sought and copies of the same.
• For applicants applying for PCC for a spouse, Marriage Certificate has to be furnished.
• Original and Copy of IC including Re-entry/Validity page of (PR/EP/WP/SP) card is required
• One recent coloured passport-size photograph with white background.
• Requisition letter from concerned Embassy for migration visa.
• For applicants requiring PCC for employment visa, they are required to bring a letter of invitation or appointment letter.
• Processing time is 3 to 5 working days and subject to clearance.
• Marriage certificate original and a copy is necessary if applicant is applying for PCC on spouse basis.
