RENEWAL/REISSUE OF Passport

Important Notice:-

Signature should match as per the passport in each and every documents and forms. If the signs do not match, applications will be rejected.

 

SERVICE - RENEWAL/REISSUE OF Passport

Fees : HKD 595 /-: For ordinary Passport Booklet containing 36 pages

a) BLS service charges: HKD 47


HKD 788/-: For Jumbo Passport Booklet containing 60 pages

a) BLS service charges: HKD 47
Duration for grant of service: Approximately 20-30 working days for the applicants whose original Passports have been issued from Hong Kong. More than 30 days for the applicants whose original Passports have been issued from other Passport issuing authorities and their particulars are not verifiable from the computer records of the Consulate.
Documents required :

An application for reissue of passport can be submitted anytime within one year before the expiry of the validity or after the expiry of the validity. However, if the passport is expired for more than three years, the application should be supported by Sworn Affidavit explaining the circumstances and the reasons for the late renewal.

  • Applicants are required to fill online application form at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in and carry a printout of the filled in application form
  • Personal presence of the applicant is required
  • The applicant has to be present at the time of application.
  • If there are any changes of information from the Current passport, necessary documents has to be provided.
  • Three recent passport-size photographs of 2 inch x 2 inch, full face & ears visible and white/light background
  • If applicant is Domestic Helper, have to submit self attested copy of DH Contract (original to be shown)
  • Original and self-attested photocopy (first two and last two pages) of Passport
  • Original and self-attested photocopy of Hong Kong/Macau ID/Valid visa
  • Self attested supporting document in case of change of personal particulars
  • Fee of HKD 595 for 36 pages passport and HKD 788 for 60 pages passport

Addition of Spouse Name is Mandatory. Documents required are as follows:

  • Addition of Spouse name form.
  • Marriage Certificate.
  • Spouse’s Passport Copy.
  • Spouse’s Current HK Visa Copy (if not holding HK Permanent ID Card).
  • Spouse’s HKID Copy.

Note: If spouse is holding a Foreign Passport, then his/her OCI Card Copy (if holding one).

If applying for 10 years validity of Passport (for the first time after attaining the age of 18 years), please provide the last Report Card/ Transcript/ Result of the Applicant.

NOTE : 1. Applicants parents who are born before Partition (1947) in Karachi, Sind, Hyderabad, etc (places which are in Pakistan now), please write UNDIVIDED INDIA in the country category. Otherwise, forms will not be accepted.

2. If applicants/ parents of applicants/ spouse are not Permanent HKID holders, have to also submit the Current Visa page copy (SELF ATTESTED)

3. The applicant has to be present at the time of application.

4) If there are any changes of information from the Current passport, necessary documents has to be provided.
