Important Notice:-
Signature should match as per the passport in each and every documents and forms. If the signs do not match, applications will be rejected.
SERVICE - Renewal/Reissue of Passports of Children
Fees : | a) 5 years validity passport - HKD 402 10 years validity passport for 36 pages/ until the age of 18 years - HKD 595 10 years validity passport for 60 pages - HKD 788 b) BLS service charges: HKD 47 |
Duration for grant of service: | Minimum 20-30 days for the applicants whose original Passports have been issued from Hong Kong. More than 30 days for the applicants whose original Passports have been issued from other Passport issuing authorities and their particulars are not verifiable from the computer records of the Consulate. |
Documents required : | Minors aged 15 years are issued passports for 5 years only. Minors between the age of 15 and 18 have the option to apply either 5 year or full validity passport (ten years) by payment of fees as applicable for issue of passports to persons above 18 years of age. Requirements

Note: (i) If both parents have renounced Indian citizenship and acquired foreign citizenship, the minor child ceases to be an Indian citizen and hence not eligible for an Indian passport. Such child, however, within one year after attaining full age (18 years), can make a declaration that he wishes to resume Indian citizenship and shall thereupon again become a citizen of India subject to approval of competent authority.
Applicant must apply in person for the above service.
All copies attached to the application must be self attested.
Applicants parents who are born before Partition (1947) in Karachi, Sind, Hyderabad, etc (places which are in Pakistan now), please write UNDIVIDED INDIA in the country category. Otherwise, forms will not be accepted.
If applicants/ parents of applicants/ spouse are not Permanent HKID holders, have to also submit the Current Visa page copy (SELF ATTESTED)
Note : In case of minor, the address to be printed on passport should be following either one of the parents passport.
