Attestation of General Power of Attorney (One signatory and 2 signatory)
Documents Required:
- General Power of Attorney in two copies (1 Original and 1 copy) Click here for sample.
- Applicant’s name in Power of Attorney must be as per his/her Passport.
- Original passport of the applicant/ applicants, along with copies of the passport (front page, back page and residence page).
- Copy of Civil ID.
- In case Power of Attorney is in the name of spouse, ID proof of spouse may be provided.
- Appointed attorney person Aadhar Card copy/Any other ID proof.
- Attorney person’s name in Power of Attorney must be as per ID proof submitted.
- Witness: 2 Indian witnesses are required. Both witnesses must sign the Original and Copy of Power of Attorney's last page
- Copies of Passport of two witnesses (front page, back page and residence page) and Civil ID is required. All copies must be self-attested. Signature must be as per their passport.
- Spouse will not be considered as witness.
- Physical presence of witnesses is not required.
- 2 recent photographs (not older than 3 months) are required if Power of Attorney attestation is required with photograph. Photograph attestation fee will be additional.
- Vaqalat Nama in two copies (1 Original and 1 copy).
- Advocate’s Bar Council ID card.
- Witness: 2 Indian witnesses are required. Both witnesses must sign in the last page of original and copy of Vaqalat Nama.
- Passport and Civil ID Copy (front page, back page and residence page) of two witnesses is required. All copies must be self-attested. Signature must be as per passport.
- Case papers are required.
- Physical presence of witnesses is not required.
- Self-Attested passport and Civil ID Copy.
- Physical presence of the applicant is mandatory.
- Copy of Identity proof of person e.g. Passport, Aadhar, PAN, Voter ID, Driving license in whose name Power of Attorney is executed.
- Additional documents may be needed for verification depending upon the requirements.
- All copies of documents must be self-attested.
- All signatures must be in Blue Pen.
- If an applicant is applying for a Power of Attorney to sell or pledge a deceased father’s or mother’s property, they must provide the legal heirship certificate, the death certificate of the father/mother, and the property documents.
