Marriage Certificate

Documents Required:

Duly filled Affidavit in duplicate Click here (Form Filling services are available in the BLS center)
Original passport of the applicant.
If original Marriage Certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriages, duly attested by Home Department of the respective State Government and thereafter by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi or any of its Branch Secretariats in India, we may accept provided both the names are endorsed in each passport.
If original Kazi or Church issued Marriage Certificates are attested by Home Department of the respective State Government and thereafter by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi or any of its Branch Secretariats in India, we may accept provided both the names are endorsed in each passport.
Marriage Certificate issued in other country needs to be attested by the Indian High Commission/Embassy/ Consulate in that country.
Copy of Passport of applicant and spouse. (Photocopy services are available at the BLS center).
Copy of Marriage Certificate.
Copy of Civil ID of the applicant.

Please Note:

Applicant has to come in person.
The Applicant must produce Passport, Civil ID or any other related document in original for verification.
All copies of documents should be self-attested (sign & date).
If spouse name is not endorsed in Passport, need to submit duly attested Marriage Certificate.
Additional documents may be needed for verification depending upon the documents submitted.
